"BOOK OUT OF MY PAST"

Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

The book that I decided to write about is “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. I read this book when I was in high school for my English class. I had always heard so many things about this book but that was the first time that I actually read it. I was never really a book reader so I had never read this book but when I finally did I have got to say it is very interesting and shocking. The book was about a young couple who fell in love at a party that they both attended to. The unfortunate thing is that their families hated each other. This led them to get married behind their backs. After Romeo killed one of Juliet’s cousins in a duet, he was forced to leave the city. In order for Juliet to be with Romeo forever, she decided to fake her death so she can later escape to be with Romeo forever. However, Romeo returns to the city and finds that Juliet had already “died.” This led him to actually kill himself. When Juliet woke up she found Romeo dead next to her and decided to really kill herself because she wouldn’t be able to have Romeos love. The reason why I have always remembered this book is because I find it such a tragic love story.  My favorite part of the book is the ending in which Juliet also kills herself, the reason why is because the ending is one you never expect if you had never read or seen the movie. I would surely recommend this book to all of my acquaintances because it is very interesting and shocking.
